The Port Moody Art Association and the Port Coquitlam Art Focus group both invited me to do a demonstration in the same week in February. Since the 2 groups are fairly closely related, we decided to work on one painting over the 2 demo’s, with the hopes of actually seeing it completed. A task which we knew would be pretty impossible.
During the 2 demonstrations, which worked out to be about 4 hours of painting in total, we started working through the self-imposed first cycle that is all about directional brush strokes. This video captures the rest of the painting process which builds a tapestry of descriptive, focal and unifying brush strokes over hours and hours.
